Timber Engineering associated deals mainly with the DESIGN both for public and private clients of timber buildings from small to large scale with different constructive system, from Platform Frame to Xlam ( CLT ), from Log House to Post and Beam and with different category of use, mainly residential and school buildings.
Besides the design of new structures, Timber Engineering deals also with projects of static and seismic strenghtening of old timber structures, like floors and roofs in old masonry structures such as curches and monumental buildings.

At the same time we are engaged in RESEARCH ACTIVITIES mainly about the static, seismic and fire behaviour of timber buildings, in cooperation with several italian and international universities and research institutes.
We also deal with STANDARDS PRODUCTION at a national scale, DIDACTIC ACTIVITY teaching in university and technical courses, and PUBLISHING of books and technical papers.

Our studio works inside Studiodeda (Sustainable design by networking), a collaborative network of professionals including architects, engineers, wood scientists, thermotechic professionals and material technologists.
The collaborative organization allows a 360° management of the integrated design of a building according to the principles of the sustainable design, from the study of the life cicle of materials, to the bioclimatic context, to the architectonic concept, to the structural design, up to the design of fixtures and innovative systems for the production of clean energy.
